Of course, the first step is to choose the photo you want us to make the portrait from.
We can work from any photo you send us but, for best results, please try to make sure:
- the photo is fairly hi-res and in focus
- the subject fills up most of the photo
- the top of the head is not cut off
- if the hair is light coloured, the background is dark
- if the hair is dark coloured, the background is light
...then email the photo to us - also include in your email the postal address you want the portrait delivered to.
Other Tips
We have noticed most of Andy’s famous portraits used photos of Jackie, Marilyn Monroe and Liz Taylor:
- with their hair up or behind the shoulders to expose the neck, as was the style at the time
- often displaying earrings
- lit from above and to the side, casting strong shadows
